How do you install a PCMCIA card and what is it for?

My brother gave me a sohoware ND5120-E 16-bit PCMCIA card.What does it do and how do I install it.

1. Just depends, the pcmcia card was designed for mostly laptop use to add or expand different ports like Ethernet(LAN), usb, wireless network card, or it can act as a storage device also. All just depends on what you get or need. I believe you have the storage device that acts similar to a usb memory stick drive that you can store files on. Of course the Express card as it is also known has become obsolete and the USB format has taken over although express 2.0 is faster transfer rate I believe.
